Korean central new international airport is being built in a island around 50km west from center of Seoul city. Inchon new airport has several buildings. Transportation center is the most complex structure which has irregular curved roof structure. The height is 45 meters, width is 162 meters. It has 3 basement floors which ground floor has huge opening. Is might be uneconomical and could not finish on schedule to use conventional erection method. The roof truss structure was erected off the site and pulled in 181 meters to be on original place. The roof structure is divided two blocks to be pulled and the first block weights 3,550 tons and the second block weights 2,700 tons. |
