Residential space in which the recent interest is gradually changing from apartment house favored in terms of functional convenience and economic values to eco-friendly house. In the meantime, we have had a tendency to evaluate residential space from a perspective of economic values rather than settlement. However, this tendency shows directly how much distorted we looked at residential space. We lost many values we should have enjoyed in residential space by considering it as an objective of wealth rather than settlement. So far, Hanok has been consistently presented as an appropriate housing type to diversify a standardized housing type and restore settlement while inheriting settlement. Further, since 2000, interests in Hanok have drastically increased, experiencing the boom of Hanok. Together with this, much research has been conducted on Hanok architecture. The research was conducted in three ways: firstly, research to construct systematic basis for preservation and promotion of Hanok, secondly, research to develop and distribute technology for invigorated construction of Hanok, and thirdly, research on commercialization for creation and proliferation of Hanok housing area. The article herein examined points to improve in terms of law and systems to invigorate Hanok by conducting reviews on laws and systems related to Hanok. Until now, improvements and supporting measures in terms of laws and systems were mainly taken care of to preserve and promote Hanok, it is about time to discuss systematic supporting measures on industry related to Hanok to invigorate overall Hanok architecture. |
