요약2 Technology development on Korean-style house is required to improve architectural performance including insulation to lower construction cost and enable modern living for the public diffusion while making use of history and culture of Korean-style house. The first stage of it was intended for the public diffusion type of Korean-style house two-story or below, and the second stage of it was intended for technology development on town unit Korean-style house. For a result of research achieved on the first stage, a model was developed that it reduces construction cost by 40 percent compared to traditional Korean-style house. A core technology of reduced construction cost can be reduced wood quantity of demand, dry construction method of roof, and development of roof tile materials. Overall, for streamlined and efficient operation in the field, developed were standard estimation, detailed statement, and specifications, and conducted was prefab construction by a dry method for construction technique. This enabled air to reduce, and the quality of construction to enhance. For structure, an automatic review program of member size and a joint and splice technique that has hardness by 10 times or above compared to traditional Korean-style house were developed. For design, long-lived architecture was enabled by separately designing structure and finishing areas, and 20 blocks of traditional Korean-style house model were designed as a living type appropriate to modern living. As Korean-style house is built by old techniques with eaves and exposed wood frame, outside insulation of the house cannot be offered. It has difficulty in enhancing insulation performance through inside insulation, and securing air tightness as inside and outside furniture is exposed. Therefore, developed were particulars to secure air tightness of joining parts where structural member, wall, and window are met, and secured about 70 percent insulation performance. Development on light-weight roof and insulation cross-section aimed for reduced construction cost and secured performance, which was substantialized by developing roof-tile materials. Although the fence is one of the most important factors in space composition in Korean-style house, the cost of the fence is still high. Thus, although pre-fab fence was developed, the cost and constructability of it are yet to come. All research materials and basic data of traditional Korean-style house should be prepared as database, and will be offered at a portal of a national center for Korean-style house. In the future, consistent research support for Korean-style house will enable the industry of Korean-style house’s material to be expanded, more efficient, and economical, and lead to high-performance Korean-style house. The first stage of it had difficulty in breaking from visual images of traditional Korean-style house. Therefore, the next stage of it is required to create a new traditional Korean-style by new old technique transformed in an innovative manner.
