Even though the supply vitalization and industrialization of Hanok has been executed under the leadership of central and local government for the last 10 years, innovative results were not achieved. Therefore, vitalization and industrialization plan of Hanok is to be suggested by comparing the industrialization case of western wood house which was introduced 30 years ago and firmly took their seat as a country house and pension house and currently are most preferred by construction planners. First, supply of Hanok should have an objective not for public interests but for personal values of health and economic feasibility and should be driven with the justification of prevention of global warming and green industries. Second, the name of Hanok should be organized in order that people can easily understand the name of Hanok by naming Hanok as living Hanok which is improved from traditional Hanok to residential exclusive Hanok and also by naming public and commercial, group facilities, Hanok type designs as new Hanok. Third, promotion of new recognition about Hanok for the entire citizens should be strengthened and composition of whole government consultative body which is driving Hanok related policies and its related academic and associations should be actively utilized as vitalizing partners. Fourth, industrialization of Hanok needs the distribution channel of material purchasing, processing, design, construction and management, not mass production or materials development. Fifth, Hanok quality management certification is required and system certification is recommended, not materials certification. Sixth, classification by educating institutions by grade and certification systems about education and training are required because Hanok design and continuous training for specialty technical manpower is necessary. Seventh, already implementing civil certifications should be officially recognized or national specialty certification systems should be used in the situations which don’t have national certificates related with Hanok. Eighth, in order to strengthen the competition of Hanok industry and prevent poor constructions, specialty construction companies are required and regarding return home and return country self-constructions, supports from labor sharing and cooperative federations and social enterprises should be utilized and regarding the preservation and maintenance of Hanok, utilization of happy house system is recommended. |
