President Park’s Administration announced that it had searched permission of vertical extension on the apartment houses dated over 15 years old on the 11th day of April, 2013 as the following which is “4.11 The Comprehensive Measure for Normalization of Real Estate Housing Market”. On the 3rd day of June, this year, The Ministry of Land and Transportation announced on the scope of vertical extension and pushing ahead or abandonment of remodeling business according to the securing or absence of structural drawings. It announced that it permit two floors of extension for under 15 stories high and three floors of extension for over 15 stories. And in the case that structural drawings are absent, it said permission could not be done. Korean Institute of Construction Technology (from now we call it as Institute) performed the project of The Ministry of Land and Transportation, “Structural Design Guidelines of Remodeling for the Apartment Houses of Shearing Wall Type (proposal)” in 2011. This project has been studies on the structural analysis and the special considerations in design with listings of items that are worthy of problems on the practical experience during the execution of safety testing for structural analysis until now. As the main contents, safety testing, making out of drawings for structural design, validation of structural safety confirmation, etc. are contained that they must be done. As the process of remodeling, safety testing, field survey, structural analysis, safety evaluation, removal of structural members, safety actions, keeping and maintenance are contained in order of precedence. Considerations would be discussed at the time of design. If possible, structural design must be done in order to confirm the safety on earthquake for working of remodeling business with considering architectural structure criteria. We must understand the existing results of study performed and perform the structural analysis and design. |
