요약2	The decline of transporting goods due to industrial restructuring and decreasing demands for rail passengers due to the broad diffusion of automobiles continued to stop the operation of train stations and convert types of stations among stations that produced lower profits. Express railway system and double-tracking in an effort to boost the railway competitiveness caused the increasing numbers of abandoned sites, which serve as local detrimental factors and left idle for long periods of time. However, regional autonomous authorities recently started to explore methods of using abandoned sites and present various successful cases. The first phase route of Gyeongui Line Forest Park, noted as a successful case of using abandoned railway site in South Korea, was opened in April 2012. This park was created based on abandoned railway site in compliance with the underground construction of Gyeonggui Line and Airport Railroad. It was opened to promote regular use, improve the quality of life, and provide pleasant environment to neighboring residents. As the public awareness grew better and life quality generally improved, demand for the renovation of urban environment with their active participation as well as requests for urban neighborhood park are on the rise. However, the provision of urban neighborhood parks in South Korea is generally inadequate. This study aimed at analyzing satisfaction factors of this Gyeongui Line Forest Park used abandoned railway site and present basic data for creating additional parks using abandoned railway sites as well as directions users want.
