The mullioned casement window (young-sang chang) of several oldest houses of wooden structures, constructed in the 15th century, is the subject matter in this research. in the houses of the 15th century, the mullioned casement windows were adopted chiefly in the main wooden floor (daechung) and in the other wooden floor rooms. Even in one window of an Ondol room the mullioned casement windows was set up. The general section of the mullions in the window of that day was of the standard type, and that in the ondol rooms might be of "T"type without any evident examples.
