요약1 |
For the last several years, the improper developments of peripheral rural areas of Seoul metropolis have transformed themselves into unhealthy urban areas. As this necessitates a resolution, many research have been done on this subject. And as a result, a number of strategies for the remedy of the undesirable situation were provided. However, most of the proposed solutions jump into hasty conclusions: without any reference to the definition and the causes of current improper urban development and to the available methods of evaluating the improper development, solutions in preventing the improper urban development are proposed. As this is the case, this research aims at providing a systematic way of evaluating the improper urban development. In doing so, firstly, an operative definition of the improper urban development was proposed by reviewing the existing research and investigating the current urban conditions. Secondly, according to the given definition, factors were identified which describe the physical status of the development area. Furthermore, a preliminary discussion on the measurement for the factors was executed. |
