본 연구의 목적은 건축공간의 투명성 이론 적용에 대한 분석이다. 콜린 로우와 로버트 슐츠키에의하여 만들어진 투명성 이론은 그 실물 적용에 있어 모호한 점을 내포하고 있다. 회화 분석에 의하면, 투명성 이론은 공간의 깊이감을 표현하는 것이 그 주된 개념이다. 그러나 콜린 로우가 적용하여 분석한 예는 공간 깊이 표현에 많은 문제점을 보여준다. 본 논문은 투명성 이론이 공간의 깊이를 보여줄 수 있는 새로운 분석의 예를 들었다.
결론적으로 두가지로 분류한 콜린 로우의 이론을 3가지로 재 분류하였다. 첫째는 물리적 투명한 성질에 의하여 정의된 자의적 투명성을 그 구성에 있어 빛이 있는 배경면을 추가하여 가시적 투명성이라 하였고 둘째는 몇몇의 불투명한 판의 겹침에 의한 투명성만을 현상적 투명성에서 분리하여 면적 투명성이라 하였으며 마지막으로 오브제의 연속성에 의해 구성된 연속성을 현상적 투명성에서 분리하여 선적 투명성이라 재 구성 하였다. |

The purpose of this study is to analyse the application of the theory on transparency to the architectural spaces. The theory on transparency was initiated by Colin Rowe and Robert Slutzky for the first time. But the applications of theory show much ambiguity. According to the theory, the transparency is the concept for architectural space which has the deepeness in the shallow space. But the theory and the examples analyzed by Colin Rrowe are not suitable to represent the deepeness of architectural space. So this paper tries to redefine the transparency of architectural space examining several new cases.
As results, three kinds of redefinition of transparency was generated. First, the literral transparency which was defined by the physical transpareny of material is renamed by the visual transparency that was composed of the luminous background. Second, one of the phenomenal transparency which was made of several opaque screens is renamed by the plane transparency. And the last one, linear transparency is composed of the objects that create visual continuity of spaces. |
