우리나라는 2002년 월드컵 대회를 계기로 도시문화 인프라를 향상시키고 경제 활성화를 이룩하며 도시정체성 구축을 통해 시민통합을 도모하고 있다. 특히 4강 신화 창조 등을 계기로 국력결집과 경제 재도약을 적극 도모하기 위해 범정부적 차원에서는 ‘Post Worldcup' 종합대책을 추진하고 있다. 이것은 투자된 대규모 시설이 지속적이고 경제적 활용이 가능하여 국가경계 전체에 긍정적인 효과를 가져와야 한다는 것으로, 대회 이후 경기장의 공익적, 수익적 측면에서의 활용방안이 가장 기초를 이루고 있다. 따라서 월드컵경기를 유치했던 국내 10개 도시들은 경기장의 안정적인 운용과 시민의 생활편익시설을 제공하기 위해, 경기장의 입지 특성과 주변지역의 면밀한 조사를 통해 향후 상권 발전 추이를 분석하였다. 이를 통해서 계획지에 적합한 수익시설을 추진 중에 있으며, 경기장의 건축설계 단계에서부터 사후 활용공간의 설치를 반영한 경기장도 있다.
본 연구의 목적은 월드컵 경기를 유치한 각 도시들의 월드컵 경기 이후 공간 활용계획을 활용목적의 용도별로 분석하고, 특징을 파악하여 도출하는 데 있다. |

This study is aimed at analyzing the post plans for the utilization of space of respective cities which attracted the WorldCup game, classified by the use of space, and at grasping the characteristics. The post utilization plan which has been promoted so that the invested large scale facilities can be put to use persistently and economically after the WorldCup, is considered in view of public good and profitableness, and in particular, these facilities can be largely divided into physical education facilities, educational and cultural facilities, commercial facilities, and other incidental facilities. On conclusion, the characteristics of utilization are as follows.
First, the characteristics show proportional interrelation which is strong in the number of the users' bracket, population density, utilization area, and utilization ratio. Second, in the ratio between all the areas of the stadia and the utilized area, Seoul and the metropolitan cities form the upper group in accordance with the background conditions of cities, and as we go down to central and southern regions, the ratio of the utilization of the stadia is getting lower and lower. Third, the ratio of the utilization and the occupancy rate of commercial facilities have a interrelation, and regardless of the utilization rate, the occupancy of commercial facilities and that of educational and cultural facilities show strong inverse proportion relation. Fourth, in terms of respective cities, we can see that while Seoul, Kwangju, and Daejeon have emphasized profitableness, Incheon and Ulsan Cities have planned for the WorldCup with the aspect of public good in mind. The rest of the cities have planned, by balancing profitableness and public good. |
