본 연구의 목적은 이탈리아 합리주의 건축이 당시 새로운 정신적, 문화적 흐름이었던 ‘근대성(Modernity)'과 근대건축을 받아들이고, 더불어 고전해석이라고 할 수 있는 자신의 건축적, 문화적 전통을 근대건축에 접목시켜 자국만의 새로운 근대건축을 구축하는 과정을 쥬세뻬 떼라니(Giuseppe Terragni)의 대표적인 작품인 까사 델 파쇼(Casa del Fascio)를 통해서 밝혀내는 데 있다. 이러한 과정을 통해서 세계적인 보편성이라고 할 수 있는 근대건축과 지역적 특수성이라고 할 수 있는 전통과 고전의 결합을 통하여 건축이 독자성을 획득하는 과정도 살펴볼 수 있을 것이다. |

This research aims to investigate the process by which Italian Rationalism architecture in 1920s adopted modernity, the new philosophical and cultural trend at the moment, and the modern architect, through analysing "Casa del Fascio" by Giuseppe Terragni. The analysis also presents a foundation that can explain how Italian architects established their unique and modern architectural trend through reconstructing architectural and cultural tradition. Giuseppe Terragni, a distinctive architect of this movement, attempted to synthesise the issues from modernity and tradition, while considering problems of both. For instance, the main concept of "Casa del Fascio" is to harmonize the modernity and tradition and this can be seen from the master plan to architectural language: master plan follows the traditional approach; the influence of modern architect is observable in architectural language, ratio and structure. This is very outcome of his attempt to integrate the global generality and the specific local value. |
