Government announced the development of new town on the early 1989 and undertook projects. Howerver, the commercial areas in the new town have been oversupplied. Due to economic crisis, the commercial areas were not activated and lost the function as the central area. In addition, as most studies have a broad view of the commercial areas, it is difficult to easily approach and to recognize overall retail commercial areas. In light of this, this study aims to identify the features and types of locations for each purpose and floor of commercial facilities in general, central commercial and business areas of Ilsan new town and to present the general types of commercial facilities for each purpose and each floor. This study carried out frequency, analysis, distribution analysis, analysis through Euclidean distance scale and cluster analysis. these analyses examined the overall features of general, central commercial and business areas of Ilsan new town, and identified the features in selection of location in overall commercial areas, and location features of commercial facilities for each purpose and each floor, and adjacent location with specific purpose. Through this, this study presented the standard for considering the optimal lacation for each purpose, when selection th location of commercial facility. |
