현재 한국에서의 건축 문화는 한국적 가치의 표현 및 세계적 흐름의 경향들이 충분히 여과되고 정리되지 못하였으며, 다양한 경향들이 무분별하게 적용되고 있는 실정이다. 이런 현실에서 최소한의 매개를 통하여 건축의 본질을 추구하고자 하는 미니멀리즘 건축은 우리에게 시사하는 바가 크다. 본 연구는 절제를 통하여 건축의 본질을 추구하는 미니멀리즘 건축의 특성을 분석하며,특히, 현대 한국 건축에서 미니멀리즘 건축과 유사한 표현특성을 보이는 승효상의 건축을 분석하여 미니멀리즘적 표현특성을 도출하고, 그 자료를 제공하는데 연구의 목적이 있다. 단, 승효상의 모든 작품이 미니멀리즘적 경향을 보이는 것은 아니며 건축가 승효상을 미니멀리즘 건축가로 분류하려는 것도 아니다. 다만, 승효상의 건축적 주장과 작품에서 미니멀리즘 건축의 표현특성과 공유할 수 있는 가치와 개념을 보여주는 부분이 있고, 이를 중심으로 연구하고자 한다. |

In the present architectural culture of Korea, the expression of Korean values and the contemporary trends of global architectures are not identified and arranged distinctly, so diverse tendencies are applied to the architectures of Korea recklessly. In this situation, minimal architecture is significant, which pursues the essence of architecture through the minimal materials. This thesis analyzes the characteristics of minimal architecture seeking after the essence of architecture by minimalization and examines Seung, Hyosang's architectures showing expressional traits similar to those of minimal architecture in the modern architectures of Korea, so this study can show the expressional characteristics and materials of minimal architecture. Nevertheless, it does not mean that all the Seung, Hyosang's works have the tendency of minimal architecture and that he has to be classified as a minimal architect, but it means only that the values and thoughts like the expressional traits of minimal architecture are seen in his architectural opinions! and works, which will be the subject of this study. |
