This study investigated early quality improvement of concrete, incorporating calcium-sulfa-aluminate (CSA), which alters the type and quantity, in order to enhance retarding of setting time and decrease of early strength, due to the use of blast furnace slag(BS) and limestone powder(LS). According to the test, incorporating ratio 4% of K1 and K2 exhibited favorable fluidity while only 1% of K3 showed. Air content and unit weight were not affected by CSA. Increase of incorporating ratio of CSA resulted in decrease of total amounts of bleeding, regardless of CSA type. The setting time of concrete was accelerated by more incorporating ratio of CSA. Overall, to secure 80% of the initial strength of concrete, 4% of K1 and K2 was needed while only 1% of K3 was used in this paper. For the properties of drying shrinkage, increase of CSA obviously decreased drying shrinkage, but more than 4% of K1, 2% of K2 and only 1% of K3 was needed to provide equal vale as OPC has. |
