고속도로를 이용하는 이용자들에게 여가선용 및 건전한 문화 활동을 제공하기 위해서는 휴게소의 계획?설계 단계에서 적절한 주차규모를 산정하는 것이 가장 중요한 요소이다. 만약, 주차규모가 부족할 경우 이용자들의 불편이 가중되고, 이용하려는 차량의 대기행렬이 본선에 영향을 미쳐 소통 및 안전에 많은 부정적인 영향을 주게 되며, 주차규모가 과다한 경우 건설비가 과다 투자되는 비효율성이 발생하게 된다. 또한, 야간 화물차의 주차수요에 대한 고려가 미흡하여 화물자동차 사고의 직접적인 원인인 졸음운전에 영향을 미치는 것으로 조사되었다. 이러한 점을 고려하여 현재 휴게소의 규모 산정에 관련된 산정기준을 살펴보고, 휴게소 야간 화물차 주차규모 산정 모형을 개발하는 것이 본 연구의 목적이다. |

Freeway rest area is one of important facilities to improve the users' convenience for the vehicle maintenance relaxation and for acquiring traffic and road information. The characteristics of parking demand can be found through the study which has been conducted by KHC(Korea Highway Corporation). The factors which influence the parking demand are traffic volume in main lane, vehicle types, distance to adjacent upstream/downstream rest areas and freight vehicles' parking characteristics, and so on. In this study, a method is developed to estimate the parking demand and the parking stalls required at rest area on freeway, using correlation analysis, factor analysis and stepwise multi-linear regression for all types of vehicle or freight vehicles only. The characteristics of parking in the rest area are different according to the time of the day. Especially, it is necessary at night that the freight vehicles' parking characteristics should be considered. In this study, the method is proposed to manage the real parking demand at day and night for design and operation steps.
The methods are used to estimate future parking demand based on the traffic volume forecasting. |
