For numerous questions have been raised against the application of conventional convex modeling methods and analysis models on exhibition spaces regarding their arbitrariness and the lack of consideration for visibility, this study attempts to verify the effectiveness, compared to the conventional methods and models, of visibility-considered spatial analysis models such as VAE, VGA, Visibility ERAM and eventually explores the possibility of combining the characteristics of each model. Moreover, the ideas of E-partitions and S-partitions (Peponis, 1997) are introduced and interpreted from a cognitional perspective, which in turn proposes a new methodology in defining convex spaces. The coherent, and not arbitrary, methodology derived from this study would offer an effective approach in analyzing open plans such as exhibition spaces. |
