Post-modern architects introduce the concept of 'context' which means surrounding building into architecture in order to construct the urban continuity. The architects expanded the meaning of context from buildings to urban artifacts such as infrastructures, interior and urban furniture and its own climate according to the change of current world view. Contemporary architects reflect new concept of context to their buildings by quoting context's material, controling its scale, hybridizing it with context's form, and representing context to its surface. Through this expressional method, contemporary architecture can be recognized as surfaces instead of points together with its context. As a result, it can obtain the continuity in cityscape and its information can easily be conveyed to user.
