As entering to 21 century which represents as aging society, the interest in health is being amplified. This society is being confronted by the necessity to have to change the expectation of the home function, from the place not only for food, clothing and shelter, but also to a place which has to be healthy for the residents. With the increasing number of elderly population, the demand for the healthy living environment is being accelerated crossing various age ranges. Therefore, the concept of house has to make progress multi-dimensionally implicating health and well-being. This study aims to explore the definition of health and healthy house and the trends regarding health and well-being, and to identify current and future trends of brand apartment housing in Korea. The advertisements and the web site of the brand apartment housing provider were analyzed. As a result, ubiquitous networking, digital and information technology, eco-friendly living were the key factors implicated in the future housing model to provide well-being of life. The direction of the future healthy housing needs to be developed in the perspective of multi-dimension which support physical, mental, social and environmental well-being totally. |
