본 연구의 목적은 도시성장관리를 위한 정책을 수립하는 데 있어서 계획지원시스템의 활용성을 탐색하는 데 있다. 특히 본 연구에서는 최근 가장 급격한 인구성장을 경험하고 있으며 난개발 도시라는 이미지를 갖고 있는 용인시를 사례로 하여, 지속가능한 도시성장관리를 위한 정책들을 수립하고, 이들의 효과를 비교·평가하는데 있어서 계획지원시스템의 활용가능성을 검토하고자 한다. |

The purpose of this study is to apply planning support system(PSS) to the area of urban growth management. The major concern of this study is to examine the operability of PSS in the case city of Korea. PSS is designed to simulate and evaluate the alternative scenarios according to the different kinds of land use and transportation policies which is aimed to sustain urban development. This paper reviews the current status of development and application of PSS in the world and introduces the operational mechanism of the land use & transport simulation model based on TRANUS which is one of PSS. It simulates urban dynamics by iterating the integrated land use-transport model through a series of discrete time intervals. The TRANUS model is calibrated to Yongin city which was reputedly Korea's fastest growing city for 2000-2005. Three scenarios are developed for the growth of Yongin up to the year 2020. The evaluation of policy alternatives with respect to urban growth management is based on simulation results such as population and employment growth, land consumption, total trips, average trip distance, trip flow and fuel consumption. |
