The purpose of this study is to analyze the application of the period division grounded on the necessity of changes of spatial structure in Ulsan. We considered the urban planning, investigated the centroid, standard distance, and Gini's coefficient of population, and studied the characteristics of spatial structure of Ulsan. We could identify six centroid and standard distance of population. And after examining characteristics of spatial structure, the periodic characteristics are presented.Consequently the period was divided into four parts, that is the first centralization from 1965 to 1975, the second centralization from 1975 to 1985, the spread(suburbanization) from 1985 to 1994, and the separation(multi-centralization) from 1995 to 2005. |
