The purpose of this study is to find out the influence of personal and environmental attributes on residential satisfaction and to suggest an alternative evaluation methodology with new items and analysis methods. At first, for these purposes, this study classified evaluation items into objective and subjective aspects, and physical and social environment aspects, and analyzed the relationship between residential satisfaction and major factors. Then, this research compared the results obtained from the existing evaluation methods with that of the alternative. The findings were as follows.First, in environmental attributes, balcony size, livingroom size and master bedroom size had significant correlations with 24-25 pyong-sized apartment residents' satisfaction. House deterioration was identified as the main factor of 32-35 pyong-sized apartment residents' satisfaction. Second, in personal characteristics, change of number of bedroom per person by move gave large impact on residential satisfaction.
