The purpose of this study is to analyze problems of public spaces of old mixed-use buildings from the perspective of urban regeneration considering suburbanization and urban sprawl caused by the strict zoning of previous urban planning, and mixed-use development for solving serious traffic problems. Directions for future planning are suggested by this research. The scope of this study is to analyze cases of mixed use zoning that is categorized into residential, commercial, office, and industrial districts according to the four uses. Six analysis factors (public, location, continuity, hierarchy, accessibility, and limitation) are used for the analysis of public spaces. The methods of the research are to select cases through literature and reference research, analyze the selected cases with the selected analysis frame, and produce results. |
