The purpose of this study was to reconsider the notion of landscape in contemporary architecture. In existing study on landscape in modern architecture, the notion of landscape is influenced by the external factor of architecture such as uncertainty in present age, land art by progressive artists in 20th century... etc. But to understand the notion of landscape definitely, it is unreasonable to think about only external factors of architecture. So, the main subject of this study is to study about internal factors of architecture to define a notion of landscape in contemporary architecture. Especially, this study is focused on 'artificial land' in urban-architecture after the early 20th century, one of the most distinguished features in form of landscape architecture. |
