This research is based on the sustainable building materials, and to find out the important factors developing Environment Product Declaration(EPD) for building materials. In EU, ISO, through Life Cycle Assessment(LCA), many different building materials for multi-complex environmental performance data has been suggested. Also, there have been considerable steps taken to create more available EPD applying database to sustainable building assessment. In the comparison of the various national(German, Netherlands, Sweden, USA, etc) EPD schemes conclusions have been drawn. The 4 tables of result show the characteristics of the schemes, following main comparison criteria. The main comparison criteria have been chosen having possible to analyze assessment factors. The tables show that there are many similarities between the schemes concerning the overall goals and organization of the schemes. Dissimilarities are mostly found in the LCA methodological issues(Functional Unit, Index, Indicators) and other performance(Indoor Environment etc.) application whether or not |
