In construction site, reinforcing bars were usually coated by using form oils in form work. Nevertheless it becomes one cause of change on bond characteristics between reinforcing bar and concrete, any workers in most construction sites does not show interest to this problem. So, this study investigates the effect of form oils on bond characteristics of reinforced Concrete Members. We carry out experiments as componential analysis of form oils, exfoliation experiments, and Pull-out test. Results of these experiments are as following. 1) The order of surface glossing is as follows; an oil based form-oil > water based form-oil > no use form-oil. 2) According to coating rate increase, slip is increased. Increase rate of slip is as follows; oil based form-oil > water based form-oil. 3) According to increase of compressive strength, bond strength of specimen used no coating reinforcing bar is increased. But bond strengths of specimen used oil-based form-oil and water based form-oil has various behaviors. 4) When compare with specimen used no coating reinforcing bar, bond strengths of specimen used water based form-oil is decreased 14.7-41.1%, bond strengths of specimen used oil based form-oil is decreased 37.2-50.5%. |
