Because school students are spending more time in their classroom for their study, indoor air quality problems of the school classrooms are very important. To improve the IAQ problems of the school classroom, not only the standard of the IAQ must be established, but also the management guidelines of IAQ should be provided as 'The Indoor Air Quality Tools for Schools Action Kit' of EPA in USA and 'Tools for Schools-Action Kit for Canadian Schools' of Health Canada. In our country, the management guidelines of IAQ are first introduced by the year of 2005, but the detailed guidelines are not provided yet.Therefore, in this study, field measurements and analysis of IAQ in school classroom with the different conditions such as inside finishing materials, yearly transitions of the IAQ in school classroom and newly and already built school classroom etc. are conducted. Moreover, the surveys for providing the guidelines of IAQ are conducted. With these results and analysis, this study develop and represent the design and management guidelines for the improvement of IAQ in school buildings. |
