To be successful as the intended apparatus, the damper system should absorb quasi-static loading without excessive stress and resist dynamic wind loading by locking the node with specified displacement limit such as °æ1mm or °æ2mm. Based on our preliminary analysis using 3-D SAP2000 Nonlinear model and wind tunnel test result, the building with outrigger damper system shows better overall performance in terms of roof displacement and base shear.
