Even though Wangsimni region is secondary center of Seoul and makes a University town with Hanyang University, the Wangsimni region's image of citizen is still old-fashioned and depressed. This study analysis the reason of Wangsimni region's depression through comparison another location to Wangsimni and try to find a solution to a revitalyzation. We choose 4 locations those are similar Wangsimni's circumstance and researched each location's land use pattern, floating population, bus lyne, traffic volume and so on. The result of study is as follows. First, area of publyc facilyties in Wangsimni region occupy 13.9% of entire total floor area of Wangsimni, that would be obstacles to growth. Second, a warehouse of railroad cars and railroad which are placed on the center of Wangsimni's commercial power make a break. Consequently, the region of Wangsimni's depression could be found on the use pattern. It is required for revitanization of Wangsimni station's influence area to change zoning of surrounding and changing of structure with private capital develdment of Wangsimni station. |
