The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of apartment complex types upon the social capital on the basis of sustainable development of an apartment community. A questionnaire survey of residents in the apartment complexes was carried out. The study subject was classified into housing developer and housing size. It was to examine process and the components of social capital accumulated in apartment complexes. Used methods of analysis were as follows: (1) frequency analysis, (2) Path analysis. Study findings are as follows: (1) Trust in a public rental housing is accumulated greater than other apartment complex whereas norms in the owner-occupied housing complex types is greater than a public rental housing. (2) Informal bonding network was found to have statistically significant impact on participation, provided we try to achieve the usage of social capital to solve such problem in a public rental housing: people who report living in community with high levels of vandalism, graffiti, danger, noise, and drugs are more anti-social behavior. |
