This study belongs to the third year project, which title is 'research and development of silver industry based on fusion technology'. Main theme of the third year is to develope a variety of environmental design for the aged in order to prepare for coming aged society of Korea. So, as a part of the upper project, this study was aimed to propose the residential unit design of silvertown(retirement housing) of Korea. The proceeding of this study is as follows: First, the analyses of existing studies and statistics in relations with the aged. Secondly, the field survey of inside and outside of the country. Next, the establishment of design goal and making design criteria. Finally, the proposal of designs to satisfy the target of this study. As the result, 3 unit-types were proposed, which are one studio type(area: 57.3m2) and two 2-bed room types(area: 58.6m2, 86.4m2). And all of 3 types have common features like as space-making for using wheelchair, adapting the principles of universal design, furniture layout and spatial arrangement to face each other and so on. Studio type was designed for single aged with modern, natural, simple image. 2-bed room types were designed for couple aged persons. The type of 58.6m2 was designed with oriental image based on natural image and the image of 86.4m2 was somewhat popular with neoclassic and elegant image. |
