The metropolis have difficulties in securing land sites with the expansion of the city. The demand of land is not satisfied because of the high land price in most cities. Furthermore, it is more difficult in Korea or Japan because these countries are mountainous and the degree of urbanization are relatively high. Multipurpose development has been proposed as an alternative plan in order to accommodate increasing population and satisfy land demands of the city. We have examined the necessity and types of the 'multi-dimensional city park' considering the case of the 'multi-dimensional city park' by underground building to figure out characteristics and effects of the form.
