As momental architectures are designed and built around the world that have not been seen before, there is a growing interest in Korea in architectures that are not rooted in the conventional ideas, as well as foreign countries. This trend shows the change in the construction industry which have been coping with new demand among owners of buildings for highly advanced and large buildings or structures, and it may be interpreted as a new opportunity for realizing creativity of architects. In Korea, architecture that embodies atypical ideas include Design Center in Dongdaemun -which has three dimensional free curved shape of Zaha Hadid and was adopted through international on-site design- and SKT Tower which has been already completed. Howerver, they incorporated foreign engineering technology which are the most essential part for those projects. In response to that, there is a growing demand for research on the knowledge about digital based technology, its necessity, and application for non-conventional architecture in Korea. This study aims to explore measures to apply Generative Method of Atypical Technologies for atypical architectures more effectively and efficiently based on the Parametric Modelling, a field that has come to the spotlight in the digital based technology. |
