BIM is one of the visualization tool that has lots of information on the life-cycle of construction project. It has come into wide use especially in design and construction phase however the application of new technology is proceeding with difficulties. This study investigates the improving effectiveness in construction phase focus on the quantity estimation process. From the viewpoint of construction manager, the quantity estimation process based on 2D and 3D modeling was analyzed and supplementary factors were discussed with each effect.
