The morphogenesis in digital architecture is being conceived as an essential tool that separate current movement from traditional understanding of form in architecture, as a tectonic geometry. The study is to examine the methodology of the digital morphogenesis to explore it meaning and common characteristics. It found the basic meaning of morphogenesis as an ultimate tool to translate various ideas into architecture through formal media. The Chaos theory also projects various meanings to the process of Digital architecture and transform to different dimensions bay recognizing mutual similarity. The notion that architecture as an autonomous system is important theoretical underpinning in the process of the future development of digital architecture. The study found that the digital morphogenesis is an emergent form, providing architecture different levels of meanings, as well as fulfilling its history-long desire of 'form-finding'. Technical determinism, consilience and the Chaos theory are summarized as the basic characteristics of the digital morphogenesis, transferring its meaning to digital architecture. |
