The architectural law in force that defines the ground floor should be the evacuation floor, so making evacuation route became more longer and bring out a bottle-neck phenomena during fires. It promotes evacuation time more and more longer. And the closed construction system of these type of buildings causes a draft effect and chimney effect, which prevents initial fire fighting. The potential weaknesses and dangers lurking in the high-rise buildings during fires have to be considered when planning the safe-evacuation procedures for its inhabitants. So in this study, evacuation simulation and mock-evacuation have been carried out for the high-rise apartment hosing building.
