The yield stress and the Young’s modulus of the foils with two different thicknesses are obtained through analyzing the stress-strain curves gained from the tensile tests. The cycle loading tensile tests at different stress and strain are carried out to investigate the elastic and plastic properties of ETFE foil. Also, to remove the air supply system in air cushion structures, this paper presents a new kind of ETFE foil spring cushion structures in which air is replaced by compressed springs.
