The two-phase experimental works of the RC slabs having different types of hollows were carried out to observe the structural performances of these slabs. From the Phase I test, the shape and spacing of the hollow were determined, and then the Phase II test was performed to evaluate the flexural capacity of the slabs with the proposed hollow shape. The test results of the slabs indicated that the structural behavior and the failure modes of the hollow RC slabs were strongly influenced by hollow shapes.
