In a rapid changing modern society, all values become relative and diversified. These social climate appears similarly in architecture field because it accommodates the requirements of diversified social trend by leading out various interpretations while generating incessant changes and definition through the works by worldwide famous architects rather than a specific style overwhelming an age. Like this, at the time when each architect's perspective and spatial thinking are more emphasized, it is judged that we are actually in need of system that can establish these clearly. As architect's vacana is to explain or back up the process to realize the basic potential spatial thinking as a concrete space, it has significant meaning. Especially, through the architectural space of Kazuyo Sejima who exerts to express new architectural nature deviating form the existing custom, this research is to observe the correlation between architect's vacana, spatial thinking and design method. Various interviews and talks with Kazuyo Sejima were examined by KJ method to look into his spatial thinking and design method. it is observed that he is attempting a new trial while making efforts to escape from the stereotype based on the diversified relationships. |
