The purpose of this study was to find out the specific character of the contemporary urban architecture by analyzing the method that organizing spaces and the specific character in the mixed use of variety programs at the railroad station. Railroad station is the place where we can see the relation of the large number of urban flow. And also we can see the new creation, mixed-use and diffusion of the urban architecture by that relation. It can be classified to an urban flow (railroad, subway, and the road) and an urban program (commercial program or public program). These are different from each other by their speed, height, direction, space, and a use. These differences made some spaces like a concourse, a waiting room, an open space in or out of the station. There we can see an 'expansion&Infiltration', 'making boundary', 'connection', 'new fabric', 'communication&exchange' of the space. |
