It takes more time and high costs to analyze into the schematic design at existing design process for sustainable architecture. However, It became fast and easy to analyze the environmental impact of architecture under the circumstances of using BIM. Because building model, which is builded by BIM tools and analysis/simulation tools, includes properties of the architecture systems and members. Thus it is possible to analyze the environmental impact of architecture. BIM tools and analysis/simulation applications can perform a solar/sun study, daylighting analysis, interior illuminance analysis, insulation analysis and fluid dynamics analysis during schematic design stage. and these can find a shape of an idea of the envelope, which facing the exterior during schematic design stage. |
