So we think about the houses of Dynasty Lee's period when we talk about our traditional houses. However Koryo dynasty's houses are considered to be different from Chosun dynasty's because it was not yet a male-dominated society and its men did not yet have the high positions than women. Unfortunately we cannot get clear information on its house structures because historical reports about it does not exist. We also cannot get accurate information on Chosun dynasty's houses. We believe that the houses were probably built in the present forms because we only see the present condition of the houses, except for the houses of which we have the drawings and papers. However, as time goes by, the formation of houses becomes different from the early stage because of the change of people's tastes, lifestyles and economic powers. This happens because of the close relation between houses and people's lives such as lifestyles and the standard of living.
