The 'apartments with lower-floor stores' is differentiated with other contemporary apartment types by its backgrounds, compositions, forms and so on. To prove these factors, this research has conducted dealing with processes and features of building planning. As a result, the 'apartments with lower-floor stores' is valuable to study as an experimental type which had built to maximize land-use efficiency combining stores and residences, even though it made people live in poor environment.
