This paper is aimed to clarify the element to element strengthening and repair techniques of wooden roof truss in the modern architectural properties. The techniques of strengthening and repair are respectively classified with an element to element, partial and whole deconstruction, and metal reinforcement of wooden roof truss. The wooden roof truss have many problem such as a joint defect by natural corrosion, artificial damage, a have fire, and a defect structural by twist. This problem occurs to principal rafter, tie beam, strut and king post of wooden roof truss. Modern architectural properties have several restraints for making it rule to preserving original. Inspecting through the conservation methods of wooden roof truss, the most effective strengthening and repair method is element to element techniques, and it is the best preserving original method. And It has been respresented by 3 types, that is, replacement of elements, padded timber, and reinforcement by metal |
