Recently, there has been industrialization and urbanization through decades, including the Seoul Metropolis, and cities have had more and more buildings and population. This increasing causes lots of environmental problems such as heat island phenomenon, which is one of important theme that has to be solved these days. In Korea, there are not enough studies to analyze and indicate plans to deal with heat island, compared with other developed countries. Therefore, recognition and understanding of heat island should be spread more, and also, present condition of environment should be analyzed quantitatively so that various countermove can be get ready. This study can be the basis of that kind of analysis by analyzing of heat island causes in statistical way, focused on Seoul. For the dependent variable, average minimum temperature of winter season is analyzed by population, structures, and energy consumption, so the relationship between causes and results of heat island can be showed as an numerical formula. The result shows that the amount of electric power sold affects most, and the amount of LNG sold affects least. Through this study, the actual condition of heat island of Seoul can be confirmed again; moreover, it can be the foundation for preparation of counterplan of heat island by making a close examination of causes and elements of heat island. |
