The purpose of this study is to identify the high functionality of the existing hardened earth by means of a high strength earth hardening method by using a new binder using as its main component the natural earth which has been used as a construction material for a long time and lime. In a preliminary experiment, we induced the appropriate compounding ratio for proper material compounding based on reasonable amounts of adding the fine earth, moderate earth and rough earth, and conducted an analysis on the strength status and surface texture between materials per compounding ratio. As a result of the experiment, the potential of the hardened earth for improved durability, reduced construction period, constructability, application to higher buildings and modernization was identified, which is compared to the existing earth material.
