Because creative industry has become a key issue in urban economy, this study intended to analyze the spatial regression of the creative industry and commercial activity index for seoul. For the purpose, we explored the characteristics and classification of the creative industry of Seoul. We attempted to examine the location and pattern of Seoul's creative industries using LQ index and analyze the spatial autocorrelation and spatial regression of the creative industries using GeoDA. From the analysis, we found that the creative industries of Seoul are physically and functionally concentrated in the areas of Jung-Gu, Jongno-Gu and Gangnam-Gu. Furthermore, there is an apparent agglomeration in some areas according to the Moran' I index for the micro spatial unit of Dong. The spatial regression analysis presented a positive relation between the commercial activity index and the creative industries, especially in the groups of arts and advanced producer services. Finally, this paper concluded that the groups of the creative industries were contributing to the economy of Seoul. |
