Therefore, making the definite guideline is very necessary to planning for the success of the project in the future. Comparing to the scale and use of buildings by time and space in the detached residential area which combines residential and commercial uses, this study presents the guideline for the district unit plan to improve amenity in public land development projects and to stop changing the plan through popular complaints. A time series analysis suggests that design criteria of the scale and use of buildings have been strengthening environmental-friendly development and pleasant residential environment.
