The purposes of this study are to find out the current status and features of rural Hanoks in Jeonnam, and to explore users' level of satisfaction and needs of improvement about those Hanoks. Primary findings are as follows: 1) The area of rural Hanoks in Jeonnam is generally 25-33pyong and the construction cost per pyong of those Hanoks is surveyed 4,000,000-4,490,000won(35.9%), 3,500,000-3,990,000won(20.5%) and 4,500,000-4,990,000won(20.5%). 2) The plan types are surveyed ‘ㅡ’ type(61.5%) and ‘ㄱ’ type(38.5%). Usually those Hanoks have three bedrooms, one livingroom, one diningroom, two bathrooms, one utility room. 3) The structure of those Hanoks is surveyed Korean traditional wood structure and the construction method of those Hanoks is usually earth brick wall. 4) The finish of outer wall is surveyed lime plaster(38.5%), earth plaster(19.2%), earth brick laying(17.9%), cement plaster(9.0%), lime plaster+earth plaster(7.7%), burnt brick laying(5.1%), and painting on gypsum board(2.6%). The finish of inner wall is usually wall paper. The finish material of bedroom floor is generally vinyl flooring and that of livingroom floor is wood flooring. 5) Users' satisfaction about those Hanoks is investigated high level. Especially, the satisfaction degrees about shape and feeling of Hanok are observed very highly. But the satisfaction degree about insulation efficiency during winter is low. 6) This study observed needs of improvement about construction status of structure and wall, the cost and time of construction. Especially, the need degrees of improvement about prevention of wood structure crack and reduction of construction cost are observed highly. |
