This study inspects that present structural design code is suitable for high-rise buildings or not through dynamic analyses for 1-DOF undamped system. The structural performances by historical wind data in major cities of Korea are compared to design values presented in Korea Building Code-Structure(KBCS), and typhoon data in East Asia are analyzed for preparing against an effect of wind for the future. The results of this study are as follows; If high-rise buildings having general period are designed with KBCS, the displacement ratio of buildings in some areas is bigger than KBCS. Also, it assumed expectative wind speed. The results of this is that displacement was bigger than KBCS.
