Demands for healthy housing are growing with ever improving living standards and increasing interest in health. In particular, apartments, the typical housing type of Korea, are expected to be simultaneously deteriorated in a massive scale, which in turn strongly highlights the significance of healthy housing conditions. Accordingly, this study is designed to develop an indicator evaluating healthy housing quality of apartment based on 1) understanding the notion and characteristics of four dimensions of healthy housing conditions and 2) to establish a conceptual model of evaluation. The results of this study are as follows; 1) The notion of healthy housing of apartment and 4 evaluation dimensions are identified. 2) In order to comprehensively and systematically evaluate healthy housing quality of apartments, a conceptual model of evaluation that is structured by a hierarchy of evaluation dimension, attributes and sub-attributes is introduced. 3) The indicators evaluating healthy housing quality of apartment consist of four evaluation dimensions, 16 evaluation attributes, and 40 sub-attributes, considering the adaptation of the model to apartment assessment, and the economics and practicality of evaluation. Future studies should address developing specific criteria for actual evaluation work. |
